The speaker is Linda Orton. She will be presenting her program on Clematis - The Divine Vine highlighting many of the 50 plus varieties of clematis she grows in her garden.

Linda Orton is a lifetime member of the Memphis Area Master Gardeners (MAMG), a past Vice President and Treasurer of the MAMG, co-founder and co-president of the Mid-South Hydrangea Society.

Linda has presented programs at West Tennessee Research and Education Center's Summer Celebration in Jackson, TN., to the master gardeners of Jonesboro, AR and Jackson, TN., the Quachita Hosta and Shade Plant Society, Hot Springs, AR., the St. Tammany Parish Library and Keep Covington Beautiful Garden Symposium both of Covington, LA. As well as programs on hydrangeas, clematis, English gardens and hypertufa making to numerous garden clubs in the Memphis, TN. area.

She has worked for 39 years in the investment banking business to support her gardening dependency and compulsion to buy more hydrangeas, clematis and hostas but mainly anything green and she tried branching out into edibles this summer by starting a small vegetable garden.
